Experience the deep history, rhythms, and cultural significance of Bomba through an engaging performance and interactive learning session with Tambores del Pueblo, an Austin-based Puerto Rican Bomba ensemble.
The night kicks off with an introductory lecture by Eli Mena, an ethnomusicology PhD student at UT Austin, whose work explores Afro-Caribbean music.
